The capability of a sociopath to love

I'm a sociopath, and although I live my live as a facade -- quite an exquisitely grandious one at that --, I feel something has changed.

I believe that I'm falling in love, or perhaps a variant form of the emotion. While I normally see women as simply any normal person with extra opportunity for manipulation, with my current girlfriend I see a level of emotional bonding that I didn't believe I was capable of.

Can a sociopath, even if very rarely and in an incomplete form, love?

Sociopaths love deeply. May I hold you, now?

If you're asking strangers whether you have the capacity for love rather than trusting your own instincts, you're probably not ready for that sort of relationship.

for starters you seriously need to get some English lessons and secondly you didn't give any proof of being a sociopath for example saying "i had a bad childhood" "i went to prison" something like that anything and the lack of understanding about emotions

You don't need a confirmation, just take it as it is. Nobody really needs to tell you whether you are feeling love or not.

If you think you are in love with someone, you probably weren't that shallow at all in first place. The difference is to be fond of someone and to feel for someone. Or well, you just had your emotional part of you simply suppressed or something and she brought it out of you.. who knows, who cares.

You stand in the way of yourself if you want to love but can't let yourself break through your own facade. Nothing requires that you be like us, in fact it's certainly a good thing if you weren't.

According to this... http://blogs.psychcentral.com/forensic-focus/2010/07/sociopathy-vs-psychopathy/

"Compared to the psychopath, the sociopath will not be able to move through society committing callous crimes as easily, as they can form attachments and often have “normal temperaments.” The sociopath will lie, manipulate and hurt others, just as the psychopath would, but will often avoid doing so to the select few people they care about, and will likely feel guilty should they end up hurting someone they care about."

... it sounds like it may be possible for some sociopaths to form an emotional attachment (love?) to someone close to them.

 "Us"?

I got the impression the other day that you're just depressed. Are you saying you're a sociopath?
