It's said that to have to have a higher intelligence, you need an increased need of abstraction. Still, in my world, many bright people are concrete thinkers. I simply think I don't have the same definition of concrete and abstract thinking as everyone else.
Myself I have been labeled a concrete thinker at the same time I'm a pattern thinker, and from what I understand, it is people's understanding a pattern is an abstraction. So, yes, it is a little confusing for me.
For me, just the thinking in itself is an abstraction, so I'm a little lost if there is concrete thinking at all. How I feel about those concepts seem to clash with the common take on it.
So what I need from you sweet people, is what is normally regarded abstract and concrete thinking.
With examples please.
Thanks in advance.
