Sociopath Community

I knew a few people I consider SP and they all did drugs, yet I'd say they were in control of it. Heroin is a sedative and I think anyone with a strong drug dependence can behave like an SP, because they will lie, steal (parasitic lifestyle), and basically do anything with no conscience for a fix. It's not really them doing it tho, it's the addiction talking. Combine with a mental illness and look out.

Well if there's one thing I've learned from this site, it's that the differences between sociopath psychopath and aspd aren't clearly defined anywhere, there are just a lot of opinions on the matter from basically every douche who wants to say smth on the topic.

From what I've read. Sociopaths are self aware, Whilst Psychopaths are not aware. Aware of their condition that is.

Yes, sociopaths can introspect and are self aware, while psychopaths are incapable of introspection... but they can be made self-aware if their psychopathy is pointed out to them by others.

Quite a few people have told me that I'm not very self-aware and lack insight. I don't know if they were just being smartasses or they genuinely believe that I have an inability to introspect. I suspect the latter.

I don't identify myself as a sociopath since I haven't been diagnosed. But I do have some traits.
