The correct answer... You had it right to begin with, the same insecurities and self esteem issues that drive the narcissist are the same things that drive all narcissistic personality traits.  Narcissistic is narcissistic... The "full blown" lacks other things which make the psychopath what it is.

In my opinion, what separates NPD from psychopathy are the NPD traits that you won't find in most psychopaths, and that's envy of others and the need for admiration.

It's more the ability of the psychopath to be malleable in their personality... To adapt to get what they want or need.

I had a girl I was friends with who liked to take me out for lunch and coffee and took me on a vacation once...lol...I'll call her G...

She kept trying to copy me and it annoyed me because I'm a huge narc...lol...so one day she was at my house with me and my friends L and H....who were guys lol...and she wanted to sleep with my friend L but he thought she was ugly lol...

So he said he would sleep with her if she got him drunk....so she gave me $50 and I got my hot neighbor to buy us liquor...lol...he thought I was cute and I think he was also a narcissist lol...and then L said she had to have sex with H too...so she did lol...

Then she wanted to be L's gf so when he was leaving to go to H's house she said I was being a dumb bitch and she wanted to go with them lol...so she did...and she came back to my house a few hours later sober...and she was sad because L told her to fuck off lol...so I told her to fuck off because she was rude to me and that she should kill herself and I never wanted to see her again lol

The next day the cops showed up at my place lol...I was getting ready for work and about to smoke a bowl lol but I hadn't when the doorbell rang...and they said that they were investigating a rape lol....she tried to report them for rape lol but I told the cops no and they believed me and told me I should drink more responsibly...lol...but I was underage for drinking at the time lol...

I think she tried to kill herself lol and the next time I saw her she was really fat and wearing overalls...lol...so I guess I ruined her life...
