I like physics for the sake of defying it. If we can do that, so many of our problems will get solved, do you think overunity is possible ?

I'm a theists. Often do I find my reasons for being so, are unknown to those who debate over it.

Childhood had a few critical moments that went wrong. I used to think it was a bad childhood, but now through my later outlook on life, I think it was really a good one, in terms of what I make myself out to be at the least. I grew up in a decent home, then a better one.

Sometimes I suffer from chronic depression. I was diagnosed with unipolar depression aka MDD. On the bright side this is temporary, It might even be gone now cause I haven't experienced any low moods since I moved into my new place last October.

I think the cause of my depression is that I think I'm too far ahead of people. Someone can be telling me something I already know, and I'd say yeah I know, then they start to go into detail over something I been over a million times. Then I find my head being filled with things I've either lost interest in, or not focused on. When I do address the fact I don't care to hear the details of these things, then people tend to get offended. My best friend in particular thinks I've become an asshole, at least that's his final conclusion even though I've explained to him what I go through mentally. I've told him a million times how sick of computers I am, yet he insists on telling me about how he managed to fix his PC using this and that. Sometimes I'll just listen and let his ego stay happy and less dramatic. It's sometimes like that for others too but in different ways.

It's complicated but at the same time I don't suffer from these frustrations. I know I have a need to cut some people out of my life, and while I distance myself from them, I wouldn't just cut them loose. It humours me how next year we'll talk about the same things again, and it's bound to happen any day.

I'm curious to know, who introduced you to this forum and why was it recommended to you for depression ? Mind you I found the older version of this place to be very therapeutic for me. Then it was a lot more harsh, where as today we see more lovable attributes in the regulars here.

Hey!

Thanks a lot for sharing!

I was surprised about the depression. Nice to hear you're getting better. Think the new place might have something to do with it?

Personally, I like small chat. I think I understand where you're coming from, though. The need to see eye-to-eye with someone is important to me as well. At least on some level. What kind of topics do you bring up with your friends? Are they interested when you bring them up?

The forum I used to visit had a pretty big thing for sociopaths. It was a forum kept up by a psychology Ph.D who answered questions via mail and occasionally on the forum. A lot of helpful members as well. There was a lot of discussion about sociopaths but the conversation was kept civil most of the time. People seemed especially bothered by knowing whether they were sociopathic or not -- most weren't. My posts were mostly about depression and/or personality issues. The forum closed up and someone mentioned this forum.

How did you end up here?

I'm good with coping with depression, but yes, moving does help. Now that I think about it, I have issues with being in close proximity of the self centred. It's not even worth accepting anything from people like that either, cause eventually they'll use it against you in some way shape of form. Now it's like I'm on holiday from having to constantly let things go due to the low awareness and lack of consideration resonating from others.

I like to chat, but only if it's positive for me. In my friends case he's proud that it's not me fixing his PC for a change, while I'm sick and tired of fixing PC's so it's not in my interest to talk about computers. I'd rather hear about what he did with the machine as opposed to him fixing it yet again with some kind of free software I don't care about, meanwhile he goes on about how good it is as though he's trying to sell me the thing.

The kind of topics I bring up ?

For some time, I haven't been sharing what's on my mind with this community. I might suggest that I lost the spirit. Offline, some people I know, the newer acquaintances, are in no condition to digest some of the things I have been speculating.

These days, and for some time, I've been talking about the comet Ison, and what's happening in the world.

Ison. They call it the comet of the century, never in recorded history has there been a comet like this. NASA claims to be perplexed by this one, as they say comets are unpredictable. It was not too long ago, there were worries of this thing having a collision with Mars, in turn the Earth would have moved right into some wreckage which wouldn't be all that pretty for us.

The comet eventually flew by Mars by some million miles. On a side note we have some astronomers who seem to have gone rouge, they speculate the dangers behind this comet Ison. Earlier this year Ison passed by Jupiter, Jupiter has several moons, the moon named "Io" was reported to have it's volcanoes going off. It's also been said never in history have we been able to witness this happen. It's interesting for it to happen while Ison was making it's pass, it's likely the comet influenced that moons volcanoes to become active. About Mars, right now we're seeing astronomers reporting how Mars now has a green coma surrounding it. Amazing, this has never happened befre either. The atmosphere over there was probably ionized by the comets passing, I wouldn't be surprised if it's because Mars is being pelted by fragments of ice, Ison is carrying a lot of junk in it's tail which is millions of miles long.

Yesterday Ison made it to the sun, and as expected it flew around it. The comet was expected to slingshot around the sun and start heading our way again. We're suppose to see it in the northern hemisphere this time, every night for half a month, until January first.

Yesterday NASA reported the comets destruction, however the interesting thing is, other astronomers are reporting Ison might have survived it's perihelion around the sun, at least some of it did, and there is some data backing this claim, now there are news reports of how it may have survived.

There's a lot of detail that I left out, it was, and still is interesting.

The military activity in the world has increased too. China sent military troops to Hawaii to cooperate with american military in some practice drills. These drills are for the sake of practicing natural disaster techniques. Basically they were pulling dummies from the rubble of simulated destruction.

In the states, there are reports of such drills taking effect. What's amazing is, if things turn out biblically, then these troops will already be in place for what looks like a major shit storm up ahead.

"There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves"

"You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. 7"For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes"

- The Typhoon Haiyan that hit the Philippines, is the strongest cyclone in recorded history.

- The Sun has been getting really excited and has been flairing out more and more.

- Military activity, and FEMA will be going over their drills in various populated areas in the states, war's and rumors of wars are out there. Syria, Iran, Chinese on American soil is interesting, Chinese telling the US what to do, and the US ignoring their request and just flying their Bombers through the Chinese airspace.

- Biggest Earthquake ever recorded was an 8.3, This happened last May.

Funny how all of this is taking place a year after all the world was suppose to end as we know it. Characteristically, the comet Ison in some ways is like the rouge planet Nibiru. Both have 2 tails, both have a highly elliptical orbits which are both calculated to be very alike. Nibiru was suppose to make a racket with other heavenly bodies, Ison so far has done so with Io and Mars, and "IF" Ison does Earth this December, then we'll at least have some training in the nick of time.

Excuse the Nibiru reference, the rest is almost as unbelievable but it's happening.

Those who are troubled about being a sociopath, are afraid of defying morals, usually as it turns out they are not.

I ended up here when I thought I had a sociopath on my hands. The forum today is a walk in the park compared to last years version. Today we see visitors come in and get some info, where as last year a visitor would end up being mentally abused.

Aside from being heart broken at the time, the abusive feedback I was receiving from the forum, was actually helping me feel better about the real issue I was enduring at the time. I am unoffendable and this is a wonderful state of being !  The forum reminds me of that. Things don't seem to be going very well in here these days. I'm not really sure why I stick around. It is a community I love, I lurk more and more cause I don't have that much energy for it like I use to. I no longer even read most of it, or I'd stop and read from a later comment and read the replies backwards before dismissing the thread itself.

It can sometimes help to take a few things off your mind.

I wonder if the problem you're having with your friend stems from lack of common grounds. It sounds to me as though he isn't interested in the things you have in mind and you aren't interested in the things your friend has in mind. If I wanted to talk about whatever is on my mind I would start off with something easy. Just discuss something a bit to open the topic up? In the end there usually is a lot to talk about, someone just needs to make the initiative. And be a good listener, I guess that's important as well. Or maybe there really isn't any common ground, who knows. But I suppose you've already processed through this.

What you said about ison was interesting. I didn't quite catch up to it because there was a tad too much information in one post. Also I haven't looked into it myself and right now I unfortunately don't have the time to look into it.

Sorry to hear you were insulted on the old forum. You could always bring the topic up again now that the forum's changed a bit. I think a lot of people would appreciate some real stories with the forum being the way it is right now.

I really wish we cuold steer the forum in that direction. A place to discuss sociopathy and other personality disorders. But we have trolls who use the place to play games.

To fix it, we need either a diplomatic system to like mute people, or hide their posts by default but then we have a problem with people creating troll accounts to manipulate that diplomatic system. We could perhaps require a certain amount of posts per account before they can vote, and perhaps they have to be voted up a certain amount of times. That might stop it becsaue people would have to invest into their troll with smart posts... who knows it might trick them into being good users, and they might find they like it. The other more simply option is moderation.

But what do you think? Would the forum by the forum if the trolls were kicked out or discouraged from using the community? What would be the consequences of this? I know people like anarchy.

Can the main forum remain unmoderated as is which is its unique signature characteristic.

And just Add a tab to designate a filtered or moderated section for professional, academic or research related topic posts.

Anyone can post in the main forum, and perhaps even the moderated posts can be viewed there. But the filtered view would only show the screened threads or posts that are moderated to stay on topic.

Can a separate tab for this feature section be added without affecting the unmoderated forum? Can a separate filter or even domain name point to the screened forum but still allow users to click either one.

Just like picking a language to display in, can users pick the unmoderated open forum or the screened format and save the setting so it goes there automatically. And the other tabs still have the other options to access

Why not just attend more than one forum? Come here for shits and giggles, and go elsewhere for when you need something a little different?

It's what I do anyway.

How about calling the free for all forum The Playground. Where you have to be 18 or older in order to act half your age?

I'd have so much fun destroying your little moderated section if that were to happen.

You want moderation? There are plenty of other forums around that have everything you want.

This forum shouldn't have to be moderated in any way to suit you.
