What do you prefer?
Freedom or slavery?
What does freedom mean to you?
Two of my tattoos mean "freedom" (but not in english language).
It's better when I decide for myself what I want to do. The opposite from freedom for me is being arrested. And I prefer freedom. But even in prison there were things to decide for myself, not the biggest decisions but little things you dont value if you're free.
I prefer freedom.
Freedom to me means being free from the laws of society.
We spend our entire lives being told what to do or not to do - by our parents or caregivers as children, by our teachers at school as we get older, and by the government and the legal justice system as adults. (And in most forums online - moderators or people like emily)
True freedom requires breaking the law and I've done that plenty enough times.
A wise pastor once explained to me, not to confuse "spiritual freedom" with "political freedom."
TK is talking about "political freedom" from authoritarian rule of others. Truth is, as long as we are using this internet to communicate which was created through the US military and provided by US government, then we are still relying on "other people" for this venue to exercise our freedom of speech. Same with Luna/Michael being the site owners.
So unless you go create your own intranet, and you build your own computers without the SLAVE LABOR of people in Asia, then you are still dependent upon others and not completely free of the responsibility that is attached to that.
As for "spiritual freedom"
the more you can forgive and let go of perceived conditions and conflicts
you can become so free that the material world and its political conditions DO NOT AFFECT YOU
in Dutton's book on what we can learn from Serial Killers and Saints, he does compare the test results of Buddhist monks to psychopaths in their unique ability to refrain from reacting to stressful stimuli which normally affects people.
I would say the Buddhists who can detach are more free than the psychopaths who are still caught in karmic cycles of retribution. Some are aware and are playing the game for fun and purpose; but the Buddhist monks are aware and know better ways to play than to be trapped in karma "imagining they are free" when it is a DELUSION.
Shorter msg (under SHORT avatar):
People are enslaved by their own unforgiveness. I prefer to be liberated by forgiving everything.
by BullshitSTILL NOT SHORT ENOUGH.
TRY.
HARDER.
1. Note the "emilynghiem" avatar which means it's LONGER msg from me speaking as MYSELF. It contains PERSONAL issues about the FORUM and TK so it is under the "emilynghiem" avatar which TO YOU means SKIP LONG MSG
2. You already know I'm not constipated like you so QUIT TRYING. DON'T TRY HARDER. JUST QUIT. THANK YOU.
If we all used the First Amendment to resolve conflicts instead of incriminating each other, we wouldn't need to take the Fifth Amendment to hide what we did to avoid incrimination. We'd resolve our own grievances, not get "pimped" by political parties paid millions to lobby for our votes without solving problems we keep paying for.
by Kanye BestI know that we the new slaves.

Fuck you and your corporations.
Y'all niggas can't control me.

Yo Brother. Now ALL taxpayers are divided as rich house slaves vs. poor field slaves, paying to support government run amok while Corporations play both sides and get more corporate welfare than the poor folks getting blamed.
