 Funny, I didn't get it but I have seen the footage you are referring you and I had just been thinking of posting something about Dr. Phil on here. I am not a fan of Dr. Phil. I think he is full of himself. Like he wants to be everyone's guru. Like he's a scout leader and everyone else a child in his scout troup. When I was a kid I hated adults like that and I still do. I thought he was fairly rude to M.E. when she said she wants to demystify sociopathy and he said sociopathy isn't mystical to him. Sociopaths are just users, blah, blah, blah. And he told M.E. he felt sorry for her because she doesn't know what she's missing. He doesn't know what he's missing either.

Would you have rather he sugar-coated his comment to spare M.E's feelings?

I think that's why a lot of people don't like Dr Phil, because he tells it exactly how it is. I like him for that very reason.

I think that's why a lot of people don't like Dr Phil, because he tells it exactly how it is. I like him for that very reason.

 He seems like a would-be guru. He's gonna set people on the right track and all that.

I don't see him that way at all and I've watched a lot of Dr Phil's shows.

Sure, he comes across as a bit condescending at times, but I think he genuinely wants to help people. He is very direct with them in his approach because that's what people need to hear. He's a no-holds-barred kinda person - "I'm not bullshitting with you, so you don't bullshit with me".

Or maybe he only cares about the money his show makes. Either way, there's no denying that he must be doing something right to have such a large audience (and I don't just mean the audience seen on the show).
