I think what you’re saying is Christian insurance companies may have to pay for things such as birth control? Is that the problem?
In Canada, abortion is legalized at the federal level and lies outside our provincial (state) laws, so all women have access to it. It’s a personal choice for individuals and is funded through the system.
If I understand what you’re saying in relation to the state/feds, the problem is that people want to impose their morality/beliefs on others through state laws.
My opinion is that the rights of many should never be denied to appease the beliefs of a few, and society evolves. Outdated religious beliefs have no place in determining state or federal laws.
Was the US constitution not founded on the separation of church and state?
