1. husband and wife are supposed to submit one to another equally in Christ.
when they are one in accord, then they can resume their respective spiritual roles and purpose.
2. there should NOT be any control issues to "manipulate." otherwise this indicates some
unresolved or unforgiven issue from the past. Resolve that first, and then the natural order will resume.
3. in general any corrections should be made with mutual forgiveness, give and take equally. the roles may be different, but both partners should be equally respectful of each other's dignity and value in the relationship.
the symbolism in the Bible of the bride of Christ submitting to the governance and protectorate of the Lord as husband represents "all the people" as the church body uniting and embracing the Law or Jesus representing Justice
so ALL the people are equally the Bride or Body of Christ, and we are all equal under the Law or Lord of all

Exactly. I'd say it's more naive to assume, just because she posted it, that she must believe it. She and I'd just had a discussion about equal rights between the sexes and the like prior to this being posted.
