I haven't added you to the list of members I started on the ROLL CALL thread.
Would you like to introduce yourself, or did you do that already?
Thanks,
Emily
iammask started a thread for an "introduction" if you would like to post there.
I think that is a cool image, though it makes me feel sad for that person.
As for me, it's from my own challenges.
I try to work out super difficult conflicts anyway, after people advised me they're impossible and to give up.
[Like trying to get fellow prochoice friends to explain to me HOW the ACA/health care mandates are prochoice? I still can't get a clear answer on that; only recognition that the current version is not the final plan. I worry that denying there is a conflict here encourages people to cover over their cognitive dissonance instead of addressing it.]
I also believe spiritual healing can be proven by science, and an agreement on what terms like "God/Jesus" mean in concept can be reached by "consensus" regardless of beliefs, including atheists. Stuff like that, because I've seen it done before. I just "know" there is always a way to resolve things by forgiving and not rejecting our differences.
So I test this theory out, over and over. And either hit it off with people, or totally miss. And still want to know why? Why can't we resolve what is preventing consensus?
That political stuff, though, really eats my lunch. I'd almost bet religious leaders could come up with a consensus on God and Jesus, while political parties are still fighting over their issues. We could sooner prove the meaning of God!
