Sociopath lesson of the day

Hey, great post! Could you elaborate on the subject a bit? I think this would make for an interesting discussion. I just believe that most people probably won't grasp the topic with so little to go on, especially if they find your behaviour offensive.
Anyway, do you? Just asking out of curiosity.

Do you pay attention to why people say what they say?

Usually, unless I'm feeling emotional... then it's a bit harder to see reason.

Thanks for the reply! I always find it hard, but I'm not that smart when it comes to reading situations anyway.
I think being straightforward about things is usually the best way to go. Everything goes easier that way. What do you think?
e: I meant to say that I personally think things go easier, I didn't mean to present that as a fact or anything.
Also, could you maybe elaborate a bit on the original post? Do you have some example, maybe? Out of curiosity, what kind of discussion were you hoping to raise here in this topic?

I would say that is entirely dependant on the situation. in many cases it is true that truth is a better option, less complicated and if you have a history of blatant honesty you seem more trust worthy,  however, there is certainly a time and place for deciet. and lastly the best lies are laced with heavy doses of truth.

I wasn't really considering deceit :/ Sorry. I just kind of meant it in a general way. Anyway, could you maybe elaborate a bit on the original post? Do you have some example, maybe? Out of curiosity, what kind of discussion were you hoping to raise here in this topic originally? I had edited the previous post but you had already posted before I was done editing :)
e: I just realized I didn't fully reply your post, sorry about that. Anyway, are you more straightforward than not?
ee: Oh and thanks for the reply! I usually don't get very many replies for some reason. I think it's because I'm slightly boring.

Don’t read too much into it Legga, it’s an allegory… it’s basically saying it doesn’t matter if someone calls you names, what matters is the context. Someone calling you an idiot for something you deem stupid is less detrimental than someone calling you an idiot for something you felt was worthy of your time.

And he put this here because he loves the attention.

And you are boring, you should fix that.

Hey Tom, thanks for the reply! I certainly do feel worse if someone calls me stupid in some contexts than in some others.
Jhawk, was that what you were talking about? For some reason it didn't occur to me, at least :/

Legga, it doesn’t matter what Jay says…it’s an allegory. YOU decide how it’s applied, not anyone else. I was using the whole idiot thing as an example…
