Did i get it right then? That it would sink in the 45 degree water on both places it was dropped. Water freezes at 32 degrees so unless they were heavy enough or dropped from high enough thr bowling balls would just sit on top of the ice.

If you thought the 30 degree f water was frozen, think again. The question said nothing about the bucket having anything in it, therefore there is no water, or ice, to slow the ball down.
