I don't know about you guys, but I tend to read alot of psychology articles and I've noticed a strong shift toward the recatagorization of certain "disorders". Alot of them have for a long time been connected with the nefarious and negative, but there seems to be a growing trend that points out these sort of things are not so much disorders as they are traits.

There seems to be a large group in academia that is going out and rebranding many of these terms that have been greatly bastardized by pop culture, which leave the general public quite ignorant to the actuality of what is going on out there in the world.

I predict a strong shift toward there being a new type of "sociopathic" subculture... much greater than the one you find here on these forums. But a social shift toward an appreciate, acceptance, or at the very least a rebranding of these terms.

Hi TM that's great that you are ahead of the curve.

It is a whole other art to master "how to communicate" your knowledge/experience with others where they benefit, and you also.

People who are conditioned to be afraid of change or criticism may respond better and open up if someone says it nonjudgmentally or with added compassion or connection.

I was on a forum where some people going through breakups would have run back to the abusers if people on the forum didn't verbally smack them around to knock sense in their heads. So sometimes the opposite ways work.

(If you look at the thread for AJF where RParker is able to say things in a way that "makes sense"

That's the real trick! Matching the right people to make that connection.)

It's good to have a DIVERSE team of people with different approaches, like tools in the toolbox for every occasion.

I hope you stick around and share as much as you can.

Others on here may learn from you how to say things more effectively.

Sounds nice...

I like criticism, it's like a higher level in the game, called my life, played by me.

"Others on here may learn from you how to say things more effectively".

Or may just end up with a speech impediment.

If this were to ever happen, I hope this community is in a position for that entire culture to use us to fascilitate discussion and community.
