Happy Endings?

Just would like a little feedback please, if you all would be so kind:

How often do you read fiction?

What kind of fiction do you read if you do?

Do you enjoy sexual content in the fiction of your choice?

A lot or a little?

How much action?

Gore?

Do you like it when the ending is a happy one, or prefer them to be more realistic/twisted?

How often do you read fiction?

I was a hardcore reader before things happened. I would dare say I rather reading fiction over interacting with people. :F

What kind of fiction do you read if you do?

I definitely like suspense/thriller, fantasy and sci-fi. I was introduced to reading through philosophy, though. So, anything is good for me, really.

Do you enjoy sexual content in the fiction of your choice? A lot or a little?

Of course. It spices up things. I just don't like random sexual content in stories that don't need it... so it's a Half and Half kind of deal for me.

How much action?

Again, these things need to have support in the story. Action definitely needs to have a drive, otherwise it's just another fanfiction Duke Nukem story. Nothing wrong with blatant action, but still...

Gore?

Gore pertains to certain fiction genres. If it fits with the story, why not? I rather the gore be described poetically than scientifically, though. If it's written like a medic would write a report, it makes me lose interest in an instant. It is more or less like the sexual content at this point.

Do you like it when the ending is a happy one, or prefer them to be more realistic/twisted?

Happy endings when the story truly deserves it. I hate it when the story builds up to nothing. It leaves a bitter aftertaste. Random sad endings are never a good twist either, as much as the authors like to think so.

The problem with realistic endings for me is that they are boring. I just can't see how the character will just walk into the sunset while a shit ton of things happened before. Those are lazyass endings imo.

Anyway, ranted offtopic.

Yes, I like exaggerated happy/twisted endings.

Just my opinion. :D

Do graphic novels count? If not, not nearly enough lately. I used to read more.

What kind of fiction do you read if you do?

A variety, I don't think I really have just one style of fiction I read above others. It's more about pacing.

Do you enjoy sexual content in the fiction of your choice?

Not really, but I don't really hate it either.

How much action?

I'm a fan. I like fast paced writing that keeps me focused, like The Bourne Identity. If a novel lacks action, I need something about as stimulating, like psychological delving into the characters, or writing that leaves the reader stuck thinking (such as unreliable narration, my favorite). "Slow parts" are why so many have remained unfinished for me.

Gore?

It's not like you can see it when reading about it, beyond imagining it.

Do you like it when the ending is a happy one, or prefer them to be more realistic/twisted?

Realistic/Twisted. Happy endings tend to feel jarring, or like a cop out ending to me, while realistic/twisted means the writer doesn't typically have to change their writing style. Some happy endings aren't bad, but they're harder to pull off. Sometimes the best ending is just cutting off the story somewhere.

How often do you read fiction?

I don't have to read it. I am it.

What kind of fiction do you read if you do?

Anything to do with pussy, like Cat Wars: The Pussy Menace, Cat Wars: Attack of the Felines, Cat Wars: Revenge of the canines, Cat Wars: A new Hairball, Cat Wars: The Litter strikes back and Cat Wars: Return of the Purrers. I'm certain you get the idea by now. And of course you can't forget the "Puss in Boots".

Do you enjoy sexual content in the fiction of your choice?

Mostly during the month of March.

A lot or a little?

In March? You should hear me then.

How much action?

Silly question. After all I'm the master of playing with my food.

Gore?

I swallow and cough up hairballs. Do you want me to puke too?

Do you like it when the ending is a happy one, or prefer them to be more realistic/twisted?

I pick my own twisted paths and don't need anyone to make up any for myself.

How often do you read fiction? A few new books a year, re-read a lot as well.

What kind of fiction do you read if you do? Good stuff :D Sometimes bad stuff for fun.  Favorite authors I've loved everything I've read by would be Hermann Hesse and Milan Kundera.

Do you enjoy sexual content in the fiction of your choice? If it's appropriate for the story.

A lot or a little? Prefer relationship/emotional intercourse to porny stuff.  Graphic sex scenes are meh to me.

How much action? Action in action stories.

Gore? Hate it, zero interest. Prefer allusions to bad things rather than graphic depiction.

Do you like it when the ending is a happy one, or prefer them to be more realistic/twisted? Realistic.  Sometimes realistic is happy, sometimes realistic is twisted.
