The place beyond the pines.

Just saw a very good movie with Ryan Gosling and Bradley cooper.

Won't say it is about sociopathy, per se, but definitely touches on circumstance, socioeconomic status and free will. Also the effect they all have on a person's decision to be a career criminal vs. something more socially acceptable.

Nature can make people very callous. As an empath, I wouldn't give up my feelings for anything. I would rather be in pain for the rest of my life, than to turn off my ability to feel.

Imagine a few of you "Bad Asses" feel differently.  Or maybe you would like to.

I haven't seen that movie, but I like being able to feel things.

I prefer to turn off the bad emotions and feed into the good ones.

You can be a career criminal behind closed doors so to speak and still appear socially acceptable to everyone else. It doesn't have to be a separate choice.

That's how serial killers manage to live two separate lives. Compartmentalization helps for those who need it.

I don't want to give away the plot to the movie.

It was good.

Its an excellent movie. Then again I enjoy most of Goslings work - Drive is exceptional and Only god Forgives trippy but very stylish!

I just finished watching that movie earlier and I found it very long and boring.

Why did you guys like it so much?
