Curing Criminal Illness: Was Son of Sam a cult victim or Sociopath?

David Berkowitz, formerly the Son of Sam serial killer, was cured of his demonic sickness he blamed on occult and satanic influences. He now promotes outreach to try to help prevent other victims of crimes that could be prevented.

His case brings up the issue: Can some cases of criminal illness be cured?

What about cases of Schizophrenia treated successfully by exorcism and deliverance?

Sources: Scott Peck's "Glimpses of the Devil" and "People of the Lie" where he urges medical professionals to pursue formal research and development in the field of therapy using deliverance prayer to remove the cause of demonic voices/obsessions. The two patients he observed were not curable or treatable until AFTER the exorcism process was applied.

Son of Sam/Son of Hope testimony on what caused his killing obsessions and what led to his cure and transformation:

Why shouldn't deadly forms of criminal illness be treated as a disease like other dangerous conditions?

Why is this punished instead of diagnosed and treated?

Curing Criminal Illness: Was Son of Sam a cult victim or Sociopath?

I watched a movie based on the Son of Sam ages ago and it seemed to me that he was faking mental illness to get the insanity defense, so he wouldn't have to go to prison.

I don't believe he was ever genuinely influenced by Satanism or the occult.

His current activities don't necessarily indicate he's 'cured'. Of course, people (who are not psychopathic) can change, so I'm not saying what he's doing now isn't genuine, but seriously, I'd 'help' people too if there was some kind of financial reward in it. Then again, I'd rather do other things that are financially rewarding.

Thank you Thrill

Given your background knowledge on both sides, I trust your judgment. In this case, I wouldn't be surprised if it were occult related.

Even Jodi Arias case looks like bad energy clashing, and there was NOT direct occult exposure.

Have you ever read the books by Scott Peck when he observed two schizophrenic patients possessed by demonic/satanic entities? He did not believe Satan was real. He was convinced it was delusional in the patients' brains, since he was a licensed psychiatrist.

He had been arguing for years with the priest Malachi Martin who went rogue in doing exorcisms outside the Catholic church authority. Finally Peck asked his friend to PROVE to him it was real. Send patients that would convince him it was demons/satan from outside the patient who were possessing them.

Within the second interview Peck changed his mind.

He ended up writing those books to explain what he observed and how the deliverance/exorcism process went through DISTINCT stages that could be observed and documented. Just like stages of healing any other disease.

The difference here, is he could never totally prove where those voices/demons were coming from.

He could only experience it for himself that it was real, and was not coming from the patients.

Even so, the part he COULD observe changing in the patients was enough to document a method scientifically.

For diagnosis, treatment and assessment if the process worked to rid the patient of the demonic infestation/addiction.

So that is why I want to replicate these studies, and try to make it more mainstream knowledge how to diagnose and cure the cases of schizophrenic or other mental or criminal illnesses.

So more people can help to cure the disease instead of waiting until after crimes are committed to punish the person.

 No.

Likely because he was lying about hearing them in the first place.

The two female patients were referred by martin to peck to prove peck wrong. So he picked very obvious cases of demonic sickness to to make sure he won the argument

Peck consulted with his team to verify and document they witnessed the same things at the same tome. The snakelikecfacial distortions he even caught on video. The demons also knew personal thingscabout peck to scare him that the patients did not know.

They all witnessed the stages of exorcism. So if they all had a joint hallucination or lied then thats possible.

Peck recognized this should be proven medically by repeat studies andcfurther research. This was just thevfirst step

To even realize this was real and could be observed and recorded by science.

The first step is throwing out the fear dividing science from religion. And study the whole process formally and openly. Not hiding it like a private practice

THrill it is sad that we have this knowledge like the medicine waiting on thevshelf. But we are too busy with symptoms of the problems to promote thr cure when it is free and would save lives health and resources. so this is one project area to focus onlineif i can tie it in with work luna wants to do.

Just need to get the groups together to do thr formal research and show the same natural healing process cures cancer or abuse or other illnesses. So thats what id like to promote online. The more ppl realize this is real, we can solve a lot of problems with abuse and crime that dont need to keep happening. Most sickness can be treated or cured. Once this knowledge becomes mainstream, we wont have to waste resources or struggle with a system that isnt curing or correcting anything. This would impact govt health and prisons that are currently backloggeed and failing.

His book wasadvocating to take this seriously and study it formally.

He didnt believe it without seeing it so of course he knew mire proof was needed.
