Need more info. to answer this.  How do you want to help him? What's he doing that gives you this impression? Is hurting others?  

...It may be enlightening to him... or he may see it as a reason to attack you...

either way there is no "getting help" for sociopaths... they simply are what they are...

 What dad said, I don't think you can be of any 'help' to a socio aswell, if he's having you around it's for a reason. How can you be certain he's one in first place?

It's a personality disorder. It's not like there's a cure. 
 

 Well... technically... there is behavior modification and other methods... but it will effectively remove who they are...

Interesting - What do you mean by behaviour modification? And what would motivate an SP to participate?  

 I can't see how any sp would want to participate. (maybe some life-struggling exceptions)
