Those subtypes are just bull. That stuff sometimes happens in academic environments, someone toss crap together to make it look smart and fanciful. Believe me, I walked those corridors.

That doesn't mean everything has substance. That is just thrown together to impress someone. There is no reality behind.

I promise.

And yet, amazingly enough, I can genuinely relate to the ones I mentioned. So, does that mean I'm full of shit too?

It means you are looking for words to describe you so you don't care if you read in things into his theories that are not there.

You can be all those things without it being subtypes of anything.

For example, avoidant cannot be a subtype of schizoid. The thing about being schizoid that you are indifferent to what people say about you. The core of avoidant is that you care too much what people think of you to the point you act socially phobic.

A subtype cannot be an opposite.

Comorbidity exists because there is not one set defined personality within each disorder. There's a spectrum. For example: Just because someone has schizoid personality disorder, it doesn't mean they have every single schizoid trait within the disorder. You only need a certain amount of traits of each personality disorder to be diagnosed with it.

But all PD's have some kind of core trait. If you move away from that you will end up with the mess DSM IV was. DSM 5 is much more stringent with PD's.

From what I've read about DSM 5, I think it's going to be more effective at distinguishing between specific disorders.

Personally, I think labeling should be a last resort.

I can't read all this shit an am not sure I understand the topic - sorry if I don't hahah … too boring. 

My core whatever that means type is HOT, and fucking independent as shit!, and strong, She knows i see her, she keeps looking, I just smile cuz I want her,  she looks back (sometimes)but she knows the best thing to do is walk away, and shake it off  â€¦. (but just for now") - she's not sure but she suspects we will "run into each other again."  Oh we will for sure!  I'll turn up some where else surprisingly soon 2 days max.

t's all a weird, shy coincidence, us bumping in again, I will smile be shy and confused - she will break the ice, she will think she owns me and I will wait - purrr. WE both will be hapyy for how long who knows?? ;)
