Like most P/S's I have a very strong personality and I often find weak people clinging on to me. I like strong and confident people and weak people disgust me. I do recognize their potential to be useful to me though.
The company of people who look up to me like they're my f-ing dog grosses me out to no end, but it feels like a waste to just.. throw them away.
Do you guys feel the same and how do you handle it?
Three threads as your first three posts, and still this applies to you.
If you're into politics, you use these people to run for office to get a govt job with taxpaid benefits and retirement plan. And charge them 500 bucks a plate to sit next to you at dinners they organize on your behalf.
If you're Miley Cyrus or her PR team, you use these crowds to inflate her fan base on facebook and tweet all their friends to compete for world's worst viral videos. Plenty of good use if you know how to set up websites and use these numbers for big bucks.
What field are you in? Is this phenomenon related to that?
If you're good at creating followers and hype, seriously, you can set up sites around whatever the hell, measure your stats and sell that to advertisers or investors. Or get paid to hype up other people's BS. I know 2 ppl who'll pay commission for someone like you to hype/sell their media spots for them.

I never claimed I was impressive in any sense, I just notice that weak people are drawn to me without me even wanting that to happen.
BTW the best way to get rid of followers who do nothing for you or anyone
is to get them busy working on something. if you can't make use of them,
then find out what they are ooing and aahing about and tell them to go do that themselves.
a. if they are ready to work on things, they'll take this as a cue to go do it. so they'll be out of your face.
b. if not, asking them to get going themselves when they aren't ready will force them to face up to their
own internal issues they are projecting but not ready to deal with. so you'll either get rid of these people
or put them to good use for yourself, for themselves, or for others depending where they end up focusing.
