Who Are You... Really

1. Consider your strengths and weaknesses. How would you describe your personality?

2. Do you think other people see you the same way you see yourself? If not, why not?

3. How do you view other members here?

(Type the member's name and use adjectives to describe them. Try to remain objective)

Don't all rush in to answer these questions, will you.

What are you guys so damned afraid of that not a single one of you will respond to this thread?

Are you all afraid I'm going to attack your weaknesses?

If you want to know anything about me, I have an ego thread.

But I don't do well with fuzzy questions. I like concrete stuff.

I'm like a grown up version of a little innocent Brownie who thinks you can save the world by being nice to each other. And sharing cookies and Girl Scout songs. Ppbbfftt!! And making ppl laugh/dance.

So people either think I'm crazy, dangerously naive, or actually capable of achieving this with help of other people on that level, but not "selfish evil people out there who can't be worked with" as I believe can be set up constructively.

When I write out my ideas, if people can see the good in them, they think it is innovative and I've done my homework ahead of time. But if they can't see how any of this is possible, it looks crazy to them. Or it threatens them with changes they aren't ready for so they freak out and project that onto me or others.

Most ppl's judgments of others are a projection of fears they haven't resolved yet. We all know this, but when we encounter it, it's like learning all over again. Such is the human learning curve. The process fascinates me, but I hate to see people suffer in fear, not knowing that the process is mutual and heading for positive solutions. Like the difference between riding a roller coaster when you know how it works and it has an end, vs. being thrown on a violent ride with no warning or concept.

Hi there TK,

First of all, I am supernew here and from the little I've read, you are kinda hard core. So lets see if we can play nicely, or if I'll roll over in a minute :D

Mm let me see if I can answere your questions. I'd really like to try.

1, I would say that I depend on peoples opinions, I am sensitive, overthinking and sometimes a little naiv, which is both my strenght and weakness. I am enthusiastic about the way power works, but unfortunately I am not as good as using it to my advantage that I am to analyze it.

2, I believe others see me like a child sometimes, because I am so sensitive and also because of my trusting personality. But I am more than just a child, but I will not deny that I have a lot to learn

3, TK, as I said - hard core. And Wilful, seems wise and the other word that comes to mind is authoritarian.

What is your definition of hard core?

I don't consider myself to be hard core. Or a badass or any of that crap. I'm just me.

This (below) describes me to a T. It's the summary of my results from a test I took called The IPIP Personality Test

calculating, coldly realistic, hard-headed, tough-minded, calm, relaxed, carefree, socially confident, self-assured, thinks clearly in stressful situations, self-confident, poised, clear-thinking, likes to try new & varied activities, versatile, contented, upbeat, hopeful, competent, resourceful, disregards feelings & emotions, controlled, self-absorbed, highly self-interested, casual, unreliable, irresponsible, pleasure-seeking, daring, adventurous, cautious, guarded, manipulative, indirect, 'bit of a loner', likes own company, ready to re-examine principles and values, unconventional, not easily upset in stressful situations, resilient, outspoken, competitive, headstrong, stubborn, skeptical, proud, prefers competition over co-operation, hasty, impatient, impulsive, reserved, cool, formal, arrogant, conceited, tendency to be sceptical, suspicious, cynical, distrusting, disorganised, careless, lackadaisical, complacent, lacks direction, easygoing, patient, even tempered

It might have been the wrong word to use, english isn't my first language.

But I'd say coldly realistic and arrogant, would come to mind :)
