I've had thoughts of killing my daughter, but I don't actually want to murder her. She just pisses me off sometimes.

I've never tried to kill her, nor will I ever. That would be like killing a part of myself.

 i know, i asked you why. in your mind at those moments, why did you want to kill her?

I only wanted to kill her because I was angry at her. Not for any other reason. Like I said already, she just pisses me off sometimes - always asking for money when she knows I'm trying to save, or not listening sometimes when I tell her to do something.

 and why were you angry at her? try not to answer in terms of 'she came home past curfew' etc, but what her actions were, how you interpreted them and why - if even for a moment - your instincts told you to extinguish her.

When other people piss me off, I usually remain cold and calm, but when my daughter pisses me off, I get very angry. I expect more from her and when she doesn't meet my expectations, I feel like she's disrespecting me.

I'm someone who expects you to jump when I say "jump", and of course, teenagers don't do that. So, my anger is really more about my expectations not being met than it is about the other person.

does your own attitude toward her sometimes remind you of your mothers to you?
