Believe me, I've wanted to say that to quite a few people myself over the years. I think everyone has at some point. Or maybe not, who knows...
My daughter once listened to one of her friends yabber on for two hours about his day once and it didn't bother her.
She has a lot more tolerance than I have.
And you can't make an excuse? "Sorry, my __'s locked out gotta rush. Talk to you later?"
Appear as if you thought the conversation was over and walk away "Haha yeah, I know what you mean. Anyway, see ya later, man leave" Works for me.

Or the easier option: change the subject. Then keep control of where the conversation goes.

Incorrect. Listening to someone talk about other people, talking about people talking about their day can be fairly fucking tedious also.
