So I will be going back to China in 4 months to continue studying Chinese, and so I was considering the city I wish to study at, and I came up Kunming because a close friend I met last time I was in China will be attending there.


So anyway, I was reading through the Wiki on Kunming when I found this:

"It has been reported that as many as 60% of the population suffers from chronic lead poisoning due to lack of quality control in the city's plumbing infrastructure; symptoms associated include psychopathy and paranoia."

I'll likely still go, but wow.... that should be interesting, huh? I guess I'll be drinking bottled water!

I watched a biography of a British woman who got caught up with the wrong crowd in Thailand. It was with another british dude she met there. As it turned out, he got her into drugs, heroine or something. Then they tried to smuggle some to Japan. She said from the time they were on the train to the airport, Asian people were looking at them like they knew what they were doing. 3 of them. At the airport, customs pulled them aside and searched them, with xrays on the side. The room had pictures of people who tried to smuggle stuff on the planes, it was dipicted as white people. Long story short, they got busted and went to death row. Yes, death row. The story made the media, thanks to a visit from a member of the british ambassy (embassy ?). 3 years later the woman was released, as a political gift from Thailand. However, they were really going to kill her. As for the others, it never mentioned what happened to them. Do becareful over there Luna. It's easy to assume the psychos in that place wouldn't mind trying another flava other than Chinee gal, meanwhile you'll stand out anywhere you go in that part of the planet.

 Keep in mind, I've lived in China for a total of 1 year, 3 months. Actually, I just got back from China several months ago. I was living on a tropical island in the south china sea. 

I know China well, and my Chinese speaking skills aren't horrible
