You were wondering about why you attract attention around here. I have had some time to think about that and I came to the conclusion that the reason is that you are the only real character around. Most people here try to be something they are not, consciously or unconsciously. One of the largest difference I have noticed is that you can admit if you are wrong, whereas most people lack the ability to examine themselves critically.
Inquirer is also a real character. He wants to keep up some kind of image but in the end he means what he says. People here try to paint an image of themselves the means and methods they employ are somewhat naive. Usually it's done straightforwardly by saying what they are; "I am a demon, I am heartless", "I can lift this and this many pounds", "I am extremely manipulative". The difference between you and the other people here, again, is that you are being yourself and how people choose to interpret your personality is up to them.
The next step from the naive approach is creating a stereotypical, over-the-top character to convey your personality. The reason your bullshit alert starts ringing then is that these people's personalities are very narrow. They can only focus on one thing and everything they say somehow links to some specific personality trait. Examples of these kind of people are Jhawk, Tom and SensitiveSoul. Some people do this unconsciously without realizing it but then there are also people like Jhawk who create the character consciously by examining their own views on stereotypes and by enforcing the naive or stupid side of their personality which they usually dislike. In the end the character will fail because of the fact that they are not the caricatures they try to paint. Most people here go into this category. The people who do it unconsciously do it by hiding parts of their personality or by trying to enforce another part.
Now someone could create a fake character who has a lot of interests and a lot of views, just like a real person would, and they would be able to fool everyone. The reason people don't do this is that there is very little reason to. People are not interested in playing something ordinary. You will get no attention for it and you will get no laughs out of it. Playing the stereotypical redneck is much more fun and as a bonus you will get a lot of attention for it.
So there you go, my opinion on why people find you interesting. You're no pinocchio. The only thing I have noticed that is a bit off in your personality is that you never admit of being afraid of anything. It's no fault though, it's an ordinary defense.
