How can I sell my company to clients internationally?

Hi everyone,

So after almost a year in China, I've decided that I would like to go home, and spend a couple months with my family. I'm almost 17, and I've still never driven a car!! So I need to learn that too :)

Anyway, I would still like to keep my business going, and not only that, after I spend a couple months at home, I'd like to go visit Mexico or Costa Rica, or Cambodia, or even Belize for a couple months. I want to live my life as an adventure, and I want to be able to contact companies, and get them to buy our services so that I can have work an an excuse to travel :)

Could anyone experienced in business please offer some advice on how a random girl with nothing but an email and a portfolio can catch the eye of businesses, and get them to hire us?

Thanks!

Luna

Do you like sales, Luna? Because it's truly dreadful if you don't LOVE it. It grows terribly tedious, and quickly. But if you are certain you wish to pursue it, I advise to check Amazon for the top rank books on the topic and choose one that appeals to you. I was in marketing for awhile and would have simply lost my patience if I hadn't found a couple of good books on the subject. (I'm afraid I do not recollect the names of them, however, I apologize.)

Bon voyage!

Fred

(most) people here are naturally warm and you could learn a lot from that, if you need to.

But from an average person's point of view, the country is really laid back... things here are calmer, easier,... it's like a constant breeze that puts you into a sort of meditative state, being at the same time aware of everything but not worried about a thing.

We're quite good looking too, you know :)

Is there a lot of demand for web development though? Is there demand for an English speaking American web development company? Don't they speak Portugese there?

web design is a huge market in Brazil. In fact, we are top notch when it comes to design en general. Brazilians balance well technical skills and funky creativity so you could pick up a lot from that

if you're coming here just for a couple of months, you don't need Portuguese. Heck, you don't even need web designing - teach English and you'll make a living. But if you ever consider staying longer, you'll need to earn trust from Brazilians and that can only be achieved speaking Portuguese.

So it's not good for business. I have no reason to go. I think I understand what you mean. You think I should just go there to enjoy the weather and the beatiful people. But, like you said, if I want to get the trust from the locals, I'll need to speak their language. That means my time spent there would be zero business being done. That means I would be making zero progress in my life on my chase for my dreams. Do you think I should stop chasing my dreams so I can take a vacation? I don't think Alexander the Great, or Cleopatra, or Ceasar thought that way. They had goals, and they dedicated their life to pursuing them. Everything else came secondary. I understand that the Human mind is stupid. It relies too much on habbits and chasing after seratonin. I closely watch my habbits and make sure they are always healthy, and moving foward toward my dream.  This means even when I don't think about what I should be doing, I'm usually doing the right thing anyway. And I always feel super depressed if I stop making progress. It makes me feel like such a loser. I'm really driven! But, it's not really like its WORK. I really enjoy it you know. I place so much value in it that I truely get like seratonin kicks when I get a little bit of success. I chase it like a carrot. Play life like a MMORPG. Live in a mog house, peddle my wares for a couple gillz, and travel the world building relationships with people who I can commision to sell my companies service.
