Do they have a narcissistic side of themselves that they secretly hate?
and what do you think of those people who listen to dubstep and say I don't care over and over and over again in hopes of being a 'cool person'? I think they are definitely narcissists, and when asked, they freak out and probably say something, it has happened to me before, I knew the girl was insecure as hell already, so it made her feel more insecure, I just said "Cool!" which pissed / offended her off for a whole week, or so, it also made her want to kill herself, or something, since she definitely had self hate in her already, she was also one of those people who pretended to hate the whole world by just saying "I don't care" over, really? How old are you, 14? so yeah, so don't be one of those people who just say I don't care again and again and again in hopes of being a cool person. It doesn't make you look cool. If you actually don't care, you wouldn't even bother to talk about it, since you care and want to act cool, you do that. Humans are such hypocrites, sometimes I just feel tired of everything and want to contact the spirit world, or maybe even try to contact dead people through spirituality, you must look up that. Because spirits don't lie and nor are they hypocrites; they are honest about themselves like me, even If I bother to type a whole paragraph on hate speech itself, I also admit that I care enough to type it, so yeah, try to be a little more like Jesus.
I don't think people are that black and white. We all fall along a certain scale with varying degrees of specific traits but as you know, people are not so compartmentalized. Personally I care what other people think of me because it will help in understanding how to interact with them.
I believe there is a large codependency that some take for granted. Sociopaths need empy's and empy's need sociopaths. The wolves still need the sheep to survive. And for some sport. :)
Maybe "care" isn't an accurate word, it's more like I want to know how others perceive me.
People who admittedly say they hate the world, especially when influenced, are sheep. They’re the same assholes who say they care about the environment and then drive off in their SUV while telling themselves that the $10 they donated to Green Peace that year made a difference. But you said it quite well already, they’re hypocrites… To be fair we all are, so that’s no reason to conjure up the dead.
And regarding that girl you knew, she sounds (sounded) like an idiot. I tend to avoid people with weak emotions, you can tell who they are by how they carry themselves, who they hang around with, what they drive, and what type of media they’re into (social or not). I go through so many factors when choosing potential friends that I just don’t make any (anymore), I use my friends and that’s it.
Using people is something I learned early on as kid, I recall doing it to some kid who had a Sega Saturn and his house always had snacks (chips and what-not), I only went to use house to play video games and eat snacks. Hell I don’t even remember the kid’s name or what he looks like I just remember the way to his house, his kitchen, the pantry where the chips resided, and where his Sega was. Good stuff.
My impression is that they take others for granted until crossed or left. At the very least I'd imagine a change in status quo could be jarring.
Maybe not quite sociopathic myself, but I tend to forget about the weight of other people's feelings until I have a reason see them as a threat.
Approval-seeking behavior is so easy to manipulate. You can practically reshape them in your own image just by having a strong pressence.
Strikes me as strange that there are people who need to model off of others to find value in their own lives.
