I hate all of you remember
I also was plagued by frightening dreams of things lurking in the dark or undead or being pursued. Nightmares were the only dreams I had for a long time. Nowadays, I don't encounter anything that worries me that much any more. I literally cannot have nightmares, because I find them interesting now. It's somewhat exciting. I find normal dreams boring now.
Except I could simply be remembering that the apple was green after the fact, filling in the blanks as an unconscious afterthought. I cannot pull the dream back up to use as reference, simply the memory of the dream. Memory has a fun way of being notoriously unreliable and influenceable, so judging that alone is bound to be filled with flaws. Even if in the dream that apple felt like it was green, it notes that I believe it was green, not that it actually was percieved that way.
I've "dreamed in color", but I can't prove that the dream was in color, simply that my memory of the dream had color once I looked back on it.
