Restraint is an important thing to have, but then there's people who are so afraid to harm someone that they go through unusual lengths to avoid it from being just that non-confrontational. This applies to both genders, and even Fight Club goes into detail on it (video quality sucks, but if you've seen it, you know the scene already):
Many women just sit back and expect men to be the fighters, which is simply pathetic. They should be willing to fight their own battles, or even fight alongside those they give a shit about, not just shiver and wuss out like the world's supposed to sort itself out around them just because they're the "fairer sex".
It helps that a woman who can hold her own is sexy as hell too.
i completely agree. i guess it's different for those who have been overprotected to the point that the anticipation of violence is most likely worse than violence would actually be if they just got some balls. (women included)
i operate under the principle that any man that lays his hands on a woman is by definition, fighting dirty so use of a weapon would be legitimate in this case.
