I am surprised - unless I have missed it - that there is no discussion regarding an evolving morality or "revaluation of values" based on the more aloof, cool, and objective response to moral and legal issues as depicted by ME in her book. In truth I had come to this forum expecting to see all kinds of sociological or cultural implications being discussed, but seems to be more of a jesting contest. I would imagine that those inclined to philosophical opining and the exploration of meta-issues always seek such transformative and revoluationary storms and expect them to be swirling around in a place where people proclaim themselves to be sociopaths.
In any case: Our current moral crazes and fads and much that goes on within the criminal justice system - and I will not be specific - would appear to be long overdue for such a rehauling and transformation. I have a feeling many people are not really so in tune with the current biases, and would welcome such.
Perhaps it is one of those historical turnings whose moment has not yet come, and will tap into this subsoil of "sociopathology" (really do not like this word; there are better) when the time is ripe.
Just thought I'd throw it out there.
