whats your degree in?
Computer science. But I'm burned out on it. Coding is where the money is, and I hate sitting in front of a computer writing code all damn day. I have a well-paying job now, but I don't love it. I should be debt-free (car/college/credit cards) in less than five years, if I stick to the plan I drew up. That's much more than most of my friends can say. It's sad that our generation seems to define success as reaching net zero.
I've dreamt of going back for a degree in psychology... but again, no money, and I don't particularly want more debt.
wow thats aweosme you work for a law firm! you should seriously get them to pay me a bunch of money to do their website. i will give you 20% of whatever they pay~ you're their network admin, the computer expert, i bet they would really listen to you if you put up a good arguement
Haha, I would, but we've got people for that already. Just did a major overhaul recently. I think it's pretty well-done. And they finally implemented a CMS, so others in the firm can more easily make updates (and it not fall on my shoulders, which are loaded enough as it is).
One of my friends in college is a web designer. I usually refer people to him. He gives me a cut as well haha. But he likes coding, and I do not. We work well together, though.
I'm not completely useless. I'm fairly successful. I'm just bored. And my goddamn foot hurts. Makes me grumpy and irritable. Now get off my lawn. :P
