luna, just out of morbid curiosity, what would your response likely be if a client was not happy with the work you did for them and wanted a partial/full refund?
Normally, we would do everything we could to keep them happy. Even if they asked for a completely new design.
Clients do pay 60% up front though, so if we assume we did the work, and they didn't like it even after we made lots of revisions, then I'm really not sure. I'd like to think that we would never make someone so dissapointed with us.
You guys are spoiled. Whenever this forum has a bug or something, you have me who is your friend and talks to you everyday, but most websites don't have a developer who cares, and so my feeling is that if I can provide each of this companies clients with the level of personal service that I do you guys (perhaps a little more even), there should be no reason they would dislike me. I am a nice reasonable girl, our work is good quality (and improving), and we care about our client's websites personally~!
...I've been on quite a few forums, they are usually a bit more on top of things. The mods will notice the problem and contact admins and the like who can fix it. With there being no mods, you sort of have to be here.
Plus this place is something you plan to show to clients supposedly. Wouldn't it look bad if the place fell apart or became deserted? Hmph, spoiled indeed.
Most of the gripes right now probably are just paranoia, but it's only paranoia until something proves it's not.
Uh, no, I was commenting on you calling us spoiled.
"You guys are spoiled."
Doesn't get more direct than that. If anything it's insulting that you'd say that about us.
You have a forum full of scared people, and you're not really giving us a secure feeling. You have people providing you with the means to learn more and make this place better, but then you just call them liars and dismiss them since your unique coding methods make you capable of anything supposedly.
Can you blame the place for starting to gain a tone? People are starting to leave. I actually kind of like it here, and I'd hate to see it fall apart, even if it all ends up being over fear and subposition.
Edit: Knowing my luck, you're not even going to read this from thinking I was calling you spoiled. Wonderful.
