You've probably seen it. The question about the girl who met the man of her dreams at her mother's funeral but she doesn't get his digits when it's over. A few days later, she kills her sister. Why did she do it. If you answer right, you are supposed to be a psychopath. If not, you should rejoice in your normality. Wisdom of Psychopaths by Kevin Dutton debumks this test which claims that lots of serial killers got the right answer. He says they didn't. Whatever.

My question is whom among you answered it right? Wrong? Just curious. BTW, I answered it right.

 Perhaps he was with her sister, so she hopes he will attend her funeral, and she will then get his number

 the test is less effective if the participants know they are supposed to be thinking like a psychopath, IMO.

 I think the test is flawed. Just becsaue a person is a psycopath doesn't mean they will project those same thoughts onto everyone else. Perhaps he generally just assumes people will NOT murder their sisters to meet a random man. Perhaps they grew up in a loving home, and know that what's more than likely is that her sister had that disease that really smart guy has and so she pulled the plug to save her from suffering.

 He wasn't a random man, he was a man of her dreams. That's the quiz definition of him. Not like it matters, but it might clarify a little bit as to why come to think about killing a family member to meet him again.

 You don't meet 'random' dream significant others, the terms random & dream don't play along.
 Sure, there are more than just one, eventualy, but you don't think of them as - just another dream person, o well, let's wait for another - do you?

 

Before you say it yourself, yes I'm a sucker and I somehow fancy these conversations. :)
