Yeah I'm thinking of the Standford Prison experiment because I was thinking there was more to it than just shocking people.
My whole point was regarding emotions though and how maybe empy's are totally flawed by feelings when put into certain stressful or pressured situations. The same mechanism may kick in. Idk I'm having trouble explaining what I' thinking.

In some ways I feel as though having an abundance of emotions makes me unable to see things as clearly and balanced as someone that wouldn't feel the same amount or type. Being able to look at a situation from a nonemotional standpoint could provide a less biased view with the emotions causing selfish decisions for the good of the individual. Just because someone has empathy it doesn't mean they make the choice to empathsize with another. Guilt would follow.
