 Certainly not. I am simply a clinician and academic myself and psychopath is the favored and original terminology. It more accurately describes the syndrom in my opinion as well, it is our "psyche" that is "pathological". The term sociopath as no true clinical definition, if you were not aware, it is simple a term used to suggest a purely or heavily social aspect as to the cause of psychopathy.

So take that for what it's worth.
