The concept of free will is complicated. Wouldn't it be a simpler answer to assume it's an illusion of the ego?

 Nothing about existence is simple. But rather a web of interconectedness that flows in all directions and effortlessly.

Or is existence extremely simple, and we lead ourselves to believe it's complicated through overanalysis in the wrong directions? Could we simply be missing a piece that'd tie it all together in a way that shows it to be easy to predict, or even toy with? Is it really chaotic, or do we simply not understand enough variables (or have the capacity to do so) to show everything happens in a lawful fashion?

What a grand concept.  We are over analyzing little monsters who try to bring meaning to every little thing.  Really it's just, your born, make babies, and die.

I think we are on the verge of predicting chaos.  I give it about 20 years.

 I say leave the Chaos Gods to their machinations.
