 I am no one's sock Luna, and I agree we need the option for invisibility. It's our fucking right, we had it on the other forum. Those who want to be anons when they browse can still do this as anons now anyway, by logging in/logging out, only it's much more of a pain in the ass. 

  Haha, okay, okay, I can see that you guys are passionate about this. We will have it changed in the next update.

Not sure why that was the case, but logging out and back in fixed it apparently.

 ...yes, because I am totally going to go out of my way to sign out and back in every time I want to make a post.

I had my account logged in from the "remember me" checkbox. Maybe being kept signed in that way affected being seen as an active user?

Edit: Yep, went off the site to check some other sites I denezin, and look at that, I'm not on the active users list again. So at least there is a way to be invisible currently.
