Forum search makes de-puppeting people easier by looking up their choice of words. Especially if they type a word incorrect which they believe is written correct.
As in, somebody who writes ocassional instead of occasional all the time. By looking up his mis-typed word, you can tell who else typed it like that = easy bust
Puppeting is like this place's core fun activity, while i dont puppet, its entertaining when others do
That point isn't strong enough to counter the ease-of-use of a search function. Being able to search through the post history is very handy and has the potential to generate tons of drama and whatnot.
Secondly, lowering the bar for puppeteers by making it easier on them could just cause more shitty puppets to appear. That in turn lowers quality and takes the fun away from puppeteering. Let people put effort into their schemes and let's uphold a standard here.

the easiness of de-puppeting discourages people to puppet and this place has no quality standards

Search is vital to SC, as is throwing past words of ours into each other's faces. Also, it is fun to do some detective work from time to time. The ability to search is quite important to our interactions here.

we had a lot of shallow personalities on sc, hdiver, chet & more. i could've easily mirrored them on a puppet for a while then went back to old me if i wanted to
or even easier, go as mock puppet. mods wouldn't ban mock puppets as most people would think they did it for personal reasons, especially if the puppet is of them

Maybe you forgot, but I offered at some point to not ban you as long as you did not post cp. I said I could not give a shit if you came on other accounts, as long as you behaved. This was months before your so called "truce", months in which you continued to post cp and antagonize us.
I've only had a problem with you because of the child porn postage, Cawk. I was firmly convinced you were fucking ruining the community and I did what I thought was best for it. Now you seem to care for the community as well and there is no reason for you to be banned. But back then you were fine with half the community being chased away for "not being sociopaths" and "not stomaching cp". I could not have that shit.
There has to be a search or I will have to work eight times as hard to be myself.
Seriously, I really need a search. The times that I had to do shit like using google for it was hellish for proving points that I otherwise see as readily apparent in my own head.
It'll also make it easier for me and Inq to mod the place when both myself and others can direct people to the right places.
If you want to blend in as puppets, just change the typing style and language that you're using. I have now done this myself and don't see why puppets ought to be coddled by purposely giving the site less functions.
