The jobs that are created are high tech industry, the jobs that are lost are low skilled repetitive transportation and manufacturing. Are you making an assumption that the low skilled people will start developing robots?

I dont think we can know for certain what types of jobs will be created as it could be something we know nothing about currently.  It's possible something comes up that requires low-skilled labor.  But yes, in general, people will need to become more skilled workers.  One of the big changes of a robotic era is developing robots to complete the low-skilled tasks while the people perform high-functioning jobs: the thought worker revolution.
