At best at this point, if it'd otherwise work, conspirators would need to actually sabotage her findings or otherwise slander her credibility, which'll be hard with a label like "Child Prodigy who's Curing Cancer" once you throw actual credentials at it.

 Also as a side note, it's less that she cured it and more that it looks promising. This is old news: 

In 2011, Zhang won the Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology, as well as first-prize awards at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair for her research on cancer treatments with iron oxide gold nanoparticles.

The following year, at the age of 17, Zhang went to the White House and presented her research to then-President Barack Obama.

She's actually 24 years old now, all of this happened around eight years ago (or ten years ago if you count her age 14 Stanford work). 

We still seem to have Cancer, so again, while promising, it's not a fully established cure.
