That inner itch

that grows from an increasingly monotonous life. That itch that is only satisfied by extreme. It overcomes my thoughts progressively until  I quench it. Once quenched, it goes dormant until the obsession rises once again for other novel exhiliration.

Sounds like apathy or perhaps boredom, that you try to cure by seeking thrills of "extreme calibers".

Unfortunately that leads to a treadmill, have you tried a sentimental way?
