Ive been thinking about the philosophy behind the Yin Yang symbol. I feel that it really touches on some things in my own philosophy in the exact way that I've been unable to describe it. All I know is that the things I advocate would generally be described as a "higher" energy, it's "up" as opposed to "down". I prefer to be energetic, I often talk a lot. I prefer assertiveness. I prefer confidence. I am a maximalist. I prefer productivity and challenging oneself. I enjoy the experience of overthinking. I love going into new ideas, looking into different philosophies. I'm very optimistic about things and I consider optimism to be a strong plus. What does this have to do with the yin yang?
Notice the clear differences here? In particular, look at the characterisation of "yang energy". Look familiar? It seems to me that the description of yang energy looks very similar to the characteristics that I advocate on a philosophical level. The difference between me and the daoists is that I tend to advocate the yang side of things far more than the yin while the daoists prefer more of a balance. However, my philosophy is outcome centric. I notice that those that have an excess of yang energy to be the more successful people. This is the "dragon energy" Kanye West talks about. I understand that some may see my denouncing of balance to be just wrong but I really don't see a need for balance when one type of being is just so objectively superior. Any thoughts?
