Transhumanism: My latest grandiose fantasy.

I would like to announce that in addition tom interactive hologram game room and my tower another grand ambition has surfaced-

I want to make a breakthrough in Transhumanist technology. I feel like as an electrical engineer this could be an interesting aspect of science to investigate. If these kinds of things advance enough humans could become nearly immortal. I'd like to design some kind of cybernetic suit that had in it augmentations that make a man into a superhuman. I want to create a glove that gives the power of Magneto to it's wearer. I want to investigate the electric current in neurons and now they transmit data. I want to learn the nature of that data and how to transfer it fully into something more permanent than our human bodies.... Or learn how to make the human body itself sustainable for a very long time through augmentation.

Ultimately I'd like to take an Electrical Engineering optics/neuroscience/programming/some biology route in my education and career. I don't just want to work with some company, I only want to work to hone my abilities and learn. My ultimate visions are these fantasies. On a side note I'd also like to a design a real life Tron bike and create a building in the design vein of Tron. I'm all about the intersection between art, music, science, tech, and engineering and I'd like to create things fusing all these concepts. These are my visions.

My grandiose delusions are better than yours.

thats cool, these are things that will keep your motivation up. consider what Einstein did. he had his day job to get the bills paid and then his grand plan came together from his notes. make sure your have the day job fundamental skills needed that are in demand in Hawaii. or wherever you end up. take a look at the jobs in the area. see what they are looking for. engineer your resume to fit their needs.

Welcome to the club, except the very idea of Transhumanism within a capitalist framework is abhorrent to me.

I feel that transhumanism will accelerate at its highest speed under capitalism.

That's deep. I know what you are saying too. I guess I'll see where it goes. If I really achieve success, I might just end up as an effective immortal upon my throne in my literal ivory tower, known by the world at large and probably deeply contraversial. Hated by some, loved by others. I know if I experience any degree of success there will be trials from the public, trials on my morality, on my relationship. But, better I use my life to create something that really changes the course of humanity and maybe even keeps me around longer to keep innovating. I don't believe it'd be selling my soul but undoubtedly some will try to get me to.

My grandiose delusions are better than yours.
