What would you do to not just be hugging the wall while other people have fun?

You're going stag and you tend to cling to single targets (plus you're willing to spend money on it), pardon me if you didn't strike me as a prolific mingler.

I usually go with other people so that I have some element of familiarity with me at parties, plus that tends to coax me into having more fun.
What few times that wasn't the case I usually would find someone to talk to. There's usually some chatterbox looking for it, so it's not really that hard.
