It's a mad world out there. Dog eats dog.
It seems more like a parasitic domino effect to me than canine cannibalism.
Dogs do their damages quickly and telegraph their body language in obvious ways, while parasites can outright go inside of you. Even just an idea can hurt you, steal from you, drain you dry, but it can't really bite you like a dog does.Be on top of things, or you'll be taken advantage of.
Being low enough to be beneath one's gaze tends to work too, in modern society at least.
The people who are hurt the most are capable failures, the middle ground where they could succeed, but don't due to poor circumstances of their environment. They are above pity support and beneath success, so they just fail while watching both directions do better than they.First you need to take mad risks while young.
It's easy to look at the successful squeaky wheel and figure this is the way, but there's far more failures under this model than winners, and there's next-to-nothing there to show you if you'd be one of those people before you take that risk.
Then you need to get people to do work instead of you. Then you find people that get people to do work for them.
You don't even have to take risks for this part to be true.
Pyramid Schemes and original ideas are how to win the game, and guess which one's easier? This is the harsh reality of success. Simply working hard doesn't cut it. You have to be sharp, nimble and devious.
No, you just need charisma and ingenuity to make it in this world. Anything else can be delegated.
Would you consider yourself "charismatic and having ingenuity" Nathan? or is that a frequent overly analytical observation?
Besides based upon the 5-6 years I've lurked you seem to be more of a chronic-Thriving-obeservationalist whilst relying on your parents and eventual governmental assistance. I hate to take apart such a profound poster in a verbal fashion and barely burp afterwards but you skate around every forum topic and tire the other person in so they wont argue with you any longer.
You write like an unemployed professor thrilling on the theory of conflict and never deliverance.
Manipulation may work for a time but until you have nimble skills to back it up the charisma once delivered falls flat.
Take for instance Adolf Hitler. Who's training and creation was Germany's own gullibility plus the over need to succeed more with their weakness after WWI. Germany needed a leader and based upon the slogan and "ingenuity and charisma" the Nazi party was created. It takes more than those two traits.
And based up these points.
-He was a terrible warchief.
-He disowned a lot of ideas Germany could have used.
-He relied upon outdated and irrational ideas that only boasted confidence in himself
-A lotttt more..
You can have ammunition and conflict but to hit your target well you have to have skill.
However you are my favorite forum member that I will say however some of the things you say come up as something wise and deliver like a flat poem making your opponents twirl around in circles for their own confusion; your own amusement.
Still an "Okay" dude.
