How I got into skating

As you may know, for a brief period of time in the 1970s I was legally prohibited from using machines of any kind. Skating was my only method of lawful transport.

How did I get banned from using machines? No good reason at all! I mean, some robots I had created did run a muck but how was I to know that they would crave the taste of human flesh, huh? Besides the fact that I programmed them that way, I can't think of how I could have known.
