0 on all, I'm fearless and awesome
Hello my new audience. My name is DrFeels. I'm very pleased to be here and discuss personality disorders. This is part of ongoing psychological research being conducted by several of my colleagues and myself. This introduction is the first of several topics. Response data is being collected for review and analysis.
Understanding the narcissist's fears is the first step in the healing process.
- Fear of being disrespected.- Fear of abandonment or rejection.
- Fear of criticism or ridicule.
- Fear of being exposed.
- Fear of irrelevance or being average.
My first question is: Does anyone here have these fears?
My second question is: If you do, how much of your day is spent thinking about your fears?
Please rate your 5 fears on a scale of 0-10.
Thank you for your participation,
DrFeels
I don't think a narc is aware of this 'fear' (dislike?) but once you get to know a narc well, it becomes apparent how much they are protecting themselves from these fears.
This protection of the ego is real. The more entrenched they are in ego, the greater the fear and the greater the amount of time spent protecting themselves.
A self aware narcissist is a contradiction.
A more accurate picture comes from those close to narcissist. Narcs would be violating their fear of exposure and irrelevance if they admitted they were one.
