Does there exist an element of a person's being that exists seperate of the body? What do you feel?
There's an area right above your eyes called the orbital frontal cortex. Within that region there's an area called Brodmann's area 10. This is what it looks like from the outside:
nIf this area gets damaged, you will become more utilitarian. Presumably, it evolved during the final stages of evolution leading up to where humans began domestication and agriculture and started living in collectives. And what it does is program people to uphold social contracts. The way that we know this is that we have numerous studies of people that have lesions to that specific region, and they all exhibit selfish behavior in the lab, in card games and so on. After they have their strokes their personality changes, immediately.
So then what should be obvious is that behavior is a one-to-one correlate with brain function. If you damage V4 in the visual cortex, you won't be able to detect motion anymore, you'll start seeing everything in frames. If you stimulate the motor cortex, whatever part you put electricity in, a corresponding body part will move.
Unless you believe something of a higher dimension projects itself into specific material components within the brain, there is no reason to think that we are more than what the last 200 years of research is showing.

You won't find any dead here, only those who wish they were.

If by soul you refer to the supernatural-existence of an essence like religions or spiritual occults refer as, i doubt it. Now where i base that. If it's supernatural-that means it's not based on something natural-by definition. In conclusion, you can't use <> means to define it like science, biochemistry, or logic. But if you ask about something different than consciousness, mindset, reaction, instincts, urges, thought process.
Yes i can prove it exist, i have a definition for it, but it's nothing supernatural or spiritual.
