Narcissism and Sleep Deprivation

There are no studies on this topic, but from what I've seen anecdotally on the internet from forums like quota, ect- narcissists often tend to stay up late and generally require little sleep compared to others. As the token NPD of SC, I can attest that I indeed suffer from staying up late then getting up early. It's like I'd rather be sleep deprived than wake up after everybody else. I like the solitude of the night and early morning. When my mind can just go wild with all the thoughts that flow through it without the expectations of others hampering it. I feel like I can just be me. I can really focus on my mind and it's nice. My technology addiction also makes this worse, as does my caffeine intake.

Does anybody else notice correlations between trouble sleeping and narcissism?

I'm more naturally a morning person, but I remember reading this and going hmmm.

"Maybe Your Sleep Problem Isn’t a Problem
The conventional wisdom is that morning people are high achievers, go-getters, while late risers are lazy. But what if going to bed in the wee hours is actually an advantage?"

Today I tried to sleep, fell off the couch at 5 AM, just stayed awake. When I get accidentally waken up between 5-8 I tend to stay up

This is likely the majority of your sleep difficulty reasoning right here.

First I've heard of anyone trying to connect the two.

Look up topics about this. All over the Internet you'll see people reporting NPD individuals as being restless and needing little sleep.

You're supposed to stop using electronics at least 2 hours before heading to bed because that shit fucks with you

Ok, maybe it isn't narcissism in my case. I am diagnosed with Asperger's.
