That's not fangirling, it's making a statement. It gets annoying sometimes when I have to play along with the bit to get anywhere in a conversation, but within said bit he sticks to a consistent template with small variations introduced towards it overtime. 

The words he picks are carefully chosen, and the words he avoids are twice as so. Have you ever thought to ask yourself what he'd do if you actually complied with the photo?

I missed this. Imho, I think it irks Inquirer that he's spent so much time to build an image of himself as the de facto intellectual here or something, and then a "retard" like me walks in and not only embarrasses him in a debate but also turns out to be much more consistent and meticulous. Basically, he feels his position is threatened.

Even now, after months, he's trying to one-up me because he pulled an Inquirer publicly, as if that was my fault. Lol.
