he gained nothing from setting fire to those golf carts then running away plus the carts owner was old and cried

He gained infamy and e-cred, and he got his face on the news. It also shows elements of authenticity that is typically lacking online otherwise.

i'm starting to think you really are a narc, the thought would only be appealing to one

getting into news means you failed getting away and now face the consequences

It means he tried something and failed.

A lot of people never get to the "trying" part.

in his case, it would've been better if he hadn't tried

again, there was no materialistic gain in what he did nor was it some sort of revenge scenario. extremely immature behavior, just showed that he lacked self control or is retarded or both & now he sucks dick at camp, while you're in front of your screen, comfortably typing away that he did some good thing

Relatively speaking anyway... that's more than most people on here can say. Posted Image

what's respectable in what he did? it'd be respectable if he managed to steal a cart and sell it

We still have no idea why he did it.

considering he burned some random dude's carts, the only explanation can be that he's fucked in the head and/or wanted attention

burning them gained him nothing and ruined an old man

Why do you keep stressing about the old man?

i have empathy

in a prison crime hierarchy with these details, slay would have a hard time just based off his crime. he'd be a level above pedophile but still low area below petty thieves, burglars, etc. because it was a senseless crime, people of this type are frowned upon by inmates

In a prison crime hierarchy yeah, but what about with us?

we technically go by the same code

it's all about the motive

I disagree, we're by and large on this forum a bunch of pansies who'd likely justify through a series of excuses why we're "above" doing anything risky

speak for yourself

While I won't say what he did was smart, I'd say he's at least a guy that's willing to take risks.

taking risks on things that gain one nothing but an adrenaline rush is not an admirable trait to me and probably most here

A lot of us would do stupid shit too if we tried to take risks

if you're going to take a risk, make it worth it

and doing nothing only shows that we have a superior lack of restraint to brag about.

you'd rather spend time in prison?

Speaking as a matter of results, yes.

Speaking as a matter of character, it's debatable.

Speaking as a matter of context, we lack a lot of it.

Speaking as a matter of "Fate" or "Causality" or whatever, maybe this is the start of a path that'll benefit him more than if that'd never happened in the long run, who's to say.

again, there was no materialistic gain in what he did nor was it some sort of revenge scenario.

We don't know why he did it, so we can't really gauge this.

All we've seen is that he's strangely and uncharacteristically uncomfortable talking about it. In his very forward nature, it's weird to see how much he tries to avoid and deflect the subject.

extremely immature behavior, just showed that he lacked self control or is retarded or both & now he sucks dick at camp, while you're in front of your screen, comfortably typing away that he did some good thing

It's less about "good" or "bad". Every Expression is merely that, while "strength" and "weakness" are spins on it's characteristics. Independent of context, it shows a skill set of his own that you might not see on the average template person.

We can sit here and say he made poor choices, but why he made them makes him relatively interesting.

Relatively speaking anyway... that's more than most people on here can say. Posted Image

Why is that the only explanation? This might not really be that random and we're missing way too many details to gauge anything from it.

Pfff.

I'm speaking for the forum average. Do you see this place as a den of crime, because I don't, I see it as an ironic expression through it's lacking.

While I won't say what he did was smart, I'd say he's at least a guy that's willing to take risks.

taking risks on things that gain one nothing but an adrenaline rush is not an admirable trait to me and probably most here

Most justify their existence of not taking risks and question why they're so bored all the time, so of course "and probably most here" is a possibility.

People ought to take more risks, just... maybe different ones.

A lot of us would do stupid shit too if we tried to take risks

if you're going to take a risk, make it worth it

Being comfortable with taking risks requires either a certain sense of familiarity with it, or having the limits be or become absent in some way.

Essentially, a natural willingness to take risks... tends to come with risks, but "No Risk No Reward" is the drawback of living a more templated planned existence.

and doing nothing only shows that we have a superior sense* of restraint to brag about.

you'd rather spend time in prison?

No, but I'm one of those "doesn't take risk pansies".

I recognize the strengths that he has, even if the context of it wasn't the greatest for him.

honestly i doubt this part. he was chronically bored. he will either come back from bootcamp thinking he gained some valuable insight on himself, or he will be kicked out over a disciplinary decision. likely the former because he knew he got off easy as opposed to jail. quote me for truth later

I am sure that he will learn his lesson and return a well spoken, kind and well behaved lad

What kinds of chill jobs can you get from jail?
